Although Scratch is not related to our documentary topic we were attracted to the conventions which were used throughout; such as cutaways and revealing small aspects or relevant bodyparts before the whole person.
With 'Ross Kemp on Gangs' and 'Dispatches: Why Kids Kill', we were attracted to the idea of introducing people and explaining what was happening in order to keep the audience up-to-date with what was going on, as well as being able to include small segments of facts to keep the audience interested.
