After successfully presenting our idea to the whole class, we were given positive feedback about our idea as many felt it was good and viable. We were also presented with a few suggestions such as having the insight from someone who was actually in prison and how they felt the experience had effected their family. As we had already thought of that we further discussed within our group how we were going to incorparate a telephone call into our documentary, as the only way to get an interview from someone in prison was via telephone. We eventually decided that a still image together with subtitles would be the best way. We plan on using subtitles for the phone call as it may not be as clear as the rest of the sound and also provides another form of visual for the audience.
